Objectives: To determine sexual education program would increase sexual knowledge and sexual attitude in adolescents of social welfare after school program.
Methods: The subjects of this study were 31 middle school boys and girls in D metropolitan city. The data were collected from the January, 2009 to March 2009. This program consisted of 5 subtopics and provided 5 sessions. Study design was pre-test, post-test single group preliminary design.
Results: Sexual knowledge was significantly increased in the post-test group than the pre-test group (t=-5.924, p=0.000). Also, sexual attitude was significantly increased in the post-test group than the pre-test group (t=-3.817, p=0.003).
Conclusion: Sexual education program is needed to enhance sexual knowledge and attitude of adolescent in social welfare and functional broken home. They are lack of interrelation with parents. Therefore, continuous, repeated sexual education program of adolescent in social welfare and broken home is necessary.
